I assume so. Admins are six-star, us mods didn't get automatically promoted to five-star, so I assume it's a postcount rank.

Given the way the ranks have jumped thus far, the mark could be at any thousand from 20k upwards.

Yes, there is indeed a 5 star admiral and it does have a post count associated with it. I can't tell you what that is, I'd have to kill you.
