That does make sense. Refits should be a difficult thing, and should require careful consideration.

Yeah, little tweaks are easy and cheap really. It is the wholesale gut and rebuilds that double or tripe the combat power that cost you a ton. If you are just doing like Excelsior Mk I to Mk II that is not much. Going to the Lakota standard is pricey.

EDIT

Also due to work I am about halfway through this turn. Hopefully done in the next 3 hours or so.

Turns are out.

Will put up some econ news to give people a feel for what is going on behind the scenes.

This is the last 5 year turn. There MAY be a major R&D overhaul after this turn so if you have a project you have been costing out go ahead and get it done this turn. Prices are likely to rise in the near future for certain ship types. Consider this fair warning.

My fault. I emailed it to the wrong guy. My uncle will probably be baffled by that thing...same first name and all.

Guys, since turns took until Thursday to get out this time let's have them due Wednesday by midnight if we can. If you have already sent it and wish to make changes please do so. I have a busy early week at work this week so it works out for me too.

I'll get it in ASAP. Nice thing about these turns is they're mostly just sheet jockeying, no real diplomacy to deal with.

A few people have asked so let me state it here.

Diplomacy is only advancing one years worth of points every 5 years. I don't want it all resolved prior to time when things start moving. Rather than rest the points at turn 1 I just am applying them at the 1 year per turn rate.
