Notes

The Raptor class scout was a contemporary of the D-5 class cruiser in use during the 22nd and 23rd century. [1] The ship was smaller [3] and less well protected than the D-5. It also carried a weaker disruptor armament. To make up for this weakness the ship carried photon torpedoes. [1]

A Raptor class was found adrift in a gas giant atmosphere by the NX class Enterprise in 2151. The Enterprise was able to rescue the ship, though the Klingons showed little gratitude for the effort. [1]

The Raptor class was seen in Enterprise "Sleeping Dogs". The episode indicated that it was equipped with photon torpedoes; laser and/or plasma weapons would be suitable for this era, but the Enterprise writers have put disruptors on other Klingon ships, so the Raptor probably has them too. Since they put phase cannon on the Enterprise, I guess we should be glad that they are at least being consistent about violating the established timeline.

The Raptor didn't appear all that impressive; some sort of scoutship it seems. I tend to think it is about the equal of an NX, one on one.

We didn't get a name for the ship in "Sleeping Dogs" itself, but in "Judgement" Archer's defence advocate, Kolos, referred to the incident in which he saved the Raptor Sam Ra from a gas giant.
