As opposed to those topless flights, right?

They're gonna dock with a shirtless flight and do shirts vs. skins, methinks. :P

Man, it's been smokey and hazy around here for the past few weeks because of all the wildfires around here! None in our immediate vicinity mind you, but the smoke filters on down the valley where we live and settles here at night so in the morning it's just awful, like close the windows and doors and continually run the air conditioner! Then later on in the day, it gets hotter, and heat rises, so it actually travels back up the valley until night time. The worst of the fires is called the Chips fire, which as of a few hours ago has burned over 64,000 acres and is 55 percent contained. Hopefully C.D.F. and firefighters will have it out by the end of the month.

Ah the peace and quite of NY...
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Been getting hammered on the Oktoberfest and Pumpkin ales that have been coming out. Aside from that.... I don't remember.

Well today we have Brighton (where I am staying temporarily) jubilee outside my window. A nice welcome.

I'd be interested to see in which year police shootings of non-suspect civilians outpaced non-police shootings of same. Source?

Saturday was my wife's church's Ukrainian cultural festival. Big ol' lunch of kovbasz and sauerkraut, pyrohy, black bread... and pints of Obolon Oksamytove. Oksamytove is Obolon's (a Ukrainian brewery) doppelbock, a 5.3 thick, velvety, and slightly sweet bottom-fermented beer the color of ink but with very mild hops. Probably would've been better served warmer on a cold day, but as it was it was like having a second meal. Now that you mention it, I might have to lay down a pumpkin lager for Thanksgiving.

I was referring to this, and I don't recall saying anything about whole-year comparisons.

I figured that was what you were referring to. But taken by itself your statement implies this is something that happens regularly.

Yes, the injury of bystanders was a tragic accident in that case, albeit not one that indicates wrongdoing by the police. However, it is dishonest to say that because such an accident occurred that the police shoot more non-suspect civilians than criminals do.
