What is your favourite ship from TOS/TMP?

This topic has probably already been posted but oh well.

Mine would have to be...The K'Tinga. I just like its...harsh looking design. It looks like it was designed to kick some serious buttock. Close second would be the Excelsior.

I'll second kostmayer. I've always loved the refit connie. It is elegance personi--well, shipified, I guess.

I like the Miranda-class ships. They got the Connie's style but in what looks like a more cost-effective package.

Again, Good choice. I think the Miranda would be my third choice. Another reason. No other starfleet ship lasted well over a Century in front line service.

Got to be the refit Connie - the best looking ship in Trek.

Aye, the refit Connie. A masterful model.

From TOS/TMP definitely the Connie.
If we're talking about all the ships in that era, then the Miranda.

Excelsior Class: These ships have already made it for 92 years. These ships will probably be around for 60 or so years. These ships have gone through so much including the Khitomer Crisis, Tomed Incident, Battle of Wolf 359, Battle of Sector 001, and the Dominion War. I don't see a Connie going through all that.

The Miranda and Excelsior models got their money's worth between the movies and the later series.

True but I didn't see the Excelsiors getting mass murdered!

And, the Excelsiors gave us the Lakota.

True, but they really should've shown more of the Lakota in action. it would've been cool to see an Excelsior fire quantum torpedoes.
