History: The Kerchan class was the Romulan answer to the Federation Excalibur class ship in terms of combat ability and sheer power. The ship was armed with Romulan designed Quantum Torpedoes as well as Photon Torpedoes. Unlike the D'ederidex, it didn't have the huge area of empty space in it where a ship could get in start firing inside the shield. The new Warp Core increased its maximum speed to 9.98 which it can hold for 20 hours. Its drednaught status and size meant it could only be only at 1 per year. The 1st one to be commissioned was sent to combat a test fleet of obselete Romulan ships from the 22nd and 23rd centuries. It completely wiped out the fleet as well as prove its power. The newest type of weapon it had was the Phased Plasma Torpedo, a Federation weapon designed to combat the Borg and Dominion. The Romulans acquired the blueprints from a Tal'Shiar operative inside the Starfleet Corps of of these Engineers building where the blueprints were stored. By 2385 , 3 of these ships had been commissioned. Kerchans are an impressive site for those who have seen them.

History: The Eisenhower was designed to be a heavy cruiser utilizing all of the latest technology. When the Galaxy Class became a Battleship/Explorer, Starfleet needed a Heavy Cruiser to fill in the position. SCE came up with the Eisenhower. The first 5 were completed in late 2379 and the class began its shakedown and testing. In 2380, testing and shakedown were completed, most of the ships problems were solved except for the malfunction replicators and toilets(the toilets sprayed hydrochloric acid accidentilly). Back at Utopia Planitia, the last 2 problems were fixed and the Eisenhower began full series production. The most distinguished Eisenhower was the USS A Team(named after the fictional team). By 2385, the Eisenhower Class reached 50 ships. The class continues production.

History: The Excalibur project was designed to provide effective defense and offense against threats such as the Borg. SCE deemed Quantum Torpedoes weren't enough to take on the Borg so they developed Phase Plasma Torpedoes and Quantum Phasers to be part of the ships armament. Quantum Phasers utilize the same power source as Quantum Torpedoes, but for a longer amount of time. Phased Plasma Torpedoes using the same phasing technology as the Phase cloak on the Pegasus. They use warp Plasma as the medium to create a 200+Isoton explosion in a Mk8 Photon Torpedo tube. The reaction begins when nanites ignite the Plasma and activate the phase device in the torpedo. The 1st Excaliburs were plagued with many problems, but over the course of 4 years, all of the problems were solved. In 2388, the second batch of Excaliburs were produced, but instead of a standard warp Drive, they had Quantum Slipstream Drives. The quantum slipstream drive was a relatively new propulsion system and were tested on the Excaliburs to find and correct any problems in the system. To this day, the Excaliburs serve with pride and dignity.

I like your Eisenhower Class, from the designs in my mind that has more firepower in the Phaser section then the science dept might care for in the Federation. Excalibur Class got a ton of firepower to say the least...would not Type 4 quantum/photon tubes have more firepower then the Type 3 or pulse fire tubes though?

History: The Nethak was a new design meant to be quicker to build than than the Negh'Var, but faster and stronger than the Vorcha. Like the Romulans, Cardassians, and Federation; the klingons created their own quantum torpedoes as to keep up with the other powers. The Nethak was also designed with a better Warp Drive system to emphasize its speed. Overall, the Nethak was a sight worth seeing. Against newer ships, the Nethak class can do considerable damage.

History: The Yorktown Class was created before the Earth-Romulan War. The class utilized advantages gained from the NX project as well as upgrades from the 6 years that the NX-01 Enterprise gathered through exploration. This ship was designed along with several other classes to fight the Romulans and increase the fleet size. The Yorktown class was classified as a battleship and exploration vessel(science lab with heavy weapons).During the war, this ship made many kills against the Romulans. After the Earth-Romulan War, the Yorktown was sent on multiple exploratory missions to other worlds. The Yorktown Class was responsible for over 40 worlds joining the Federation.

History: The Proxima class was designed as one of the new classes to modernize the fleet with the newest technology. The Proxima was rife with problems and glitches. In 2276, the problems were solved and the 2nd batch was constructed. The Proxima Class hasn't served a distinuished service life, but during the Dominion War, these ships suffered a lot, but were critical in a few battles. After the war, these ships were refitted again with the best technology of the 2370s.

History: The Raptor class was developed to match the Defiant class in terms of weapons, shields, speed, etc... Research continued throughout the Dominion War until the first 10 were commissioned to fight in the Battle of Septimus 3. Though, not as fast as a refitted D'deridex at warp, it easily beat it in terms of impulse speed and manueverability. The Raptor class was able to score 22 kills against Dominion forces and were part of the fleet to invade Cardassia Prime. After the Dominion War, more Raptors were built along with the newly developed Norexan class to increase the Romulan fleet back to its original numbers. Production is expected to continue due the relatively young age of the Raptors.

History: The Malek class was designed to fight ships such as Nebula, Ambassador, Vorcha, and K'Vort class ships. It was reasonably well, the 1st batch experienced few problems because they were built using tested technology meant for the project. During the Dominion War, these ships weren't the best, but they did manage to take out a ton of Dominion ships. After the war, production continues as the Romulan grows back to its pre-Dominion War levels, maybe higher.

I'm choking at the thought of the Excalibur class existing. No offense, but Quantum phasers are the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. The Quantum Torpedo utilises an uprated photon torpedo explosive to start off a zero-point energy detonation within a device in the torpedo. Please explain who that could be done in a phaser beam
