New members forum
New members forum
I was looking around and the new member by the name of Kevsha made a very valid point. We have no official spot for new members to introduce themselves. I think there should be a subforum labeled New Members, or something like that so that anybody who is new gets attention so they don't just not come back because no body seems to care. Because its very hard to find those topics when and usually where they are put up. Does anybody agree, because I personally think new members that decide to post, should get the attention they deserve.

Re: New members forum
New members aren't freqent enough to make it worthwhile. If someone wants to introduce themselves they're welcome to create a thread in Forum Community, but there simply aren't enough of them to justify a dedicated subforum.

Re: New members forum
I don't mean like a whole thing, but like in forum community, have a little subforum, because it seems that we've been getting more and more people signing on and posting.
but feel free to disagree.

Re: New members forum
i'd say a sticky topic in a forum suited for that is enough.

Re: New members forum
Some new members have taken it upon themselves to introduce themselves in a thread in the Forum community, and others have just jumped right on in. I think we'll leave it to the individuals to decide if they want to create their own introduction thread.

Re: New members forum
Yeah..........everybody is different. Some jump right into debates. Others introduce themselves. Still yet, some like to lay low till they get the feel of the forum. We should leave it to them to decide how they want to jump in.

Re: New members forum
I'm going to agree w/ mark...when I joined, I probably wouldn't have posted in there. (probably b/c I couldn't find it, but I still wouldn't have). It worked out better for me to just jump in...even if I did mess up a little...
Kendall/Deep, surely you remember my opening posts, the two of you laughed until you cried.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

He's referring to one (two, actually, IIRC) of our epic philosophical discussions.

Aye, that was a pretty good debate. I didn't take too much part in it, but I enjoyed reading through it.
Regarding new members, shall we just put up an "Introductions" thread and sticky it in FC? That seems the easiest way to handle it.

I don't see a huge problem with leaving things the way they are, but I don't have a problem if you want to add the thread either.

Well I was just curious to see what Staplic's first post was.
