Back To The Future

Post by Tsukiyumi »

I just finished re-watching the trilogy, and, completely incorrect science aspects aside, I think the first one at least is a sci-fi/comedy classic.

I almost forgot how freaking cool these movies are. :D

They are SO classic! The first two are the best by far. It's so much fun to watch Marty squirm under his mom's sexual advances! And George McFly is hilarious.

Scientificaly, the films made no sense. But who cares, they're still great. :)

That's a sign of how great they are; they make you not care how inaccurate the science is.

The scientific-inaccuracy is probably why Dr. McKay on Stargate: Atlantis doesn't like these films. :D

But, I agree. Who cares if they're inaccurate! Definitely one of the best trilogies ever made, and Zemeckis' best directing work in my opinion.

Beowulf was quite cool, IMO, though certainly nowhere near as great as Back To The Future.

Part one is one of my favorite movies. An amazing fairytale of love, and being able to see your parents when they were young, dorky, perverted, looking for sex. The Earth Angel scene is such a goose-bump inducing scene. You think the movie is over after George knocks out Biff, but no. George McFly has one more test to save his unborn children.

That's parts two and three.

Seriously, they're worth a re-watch, especially if you haven't seen them in years. And Alan Silvestri's score is awesome.

Actually, technically, it's just two. In Three, he says, "Nobody calls me yella."
