Thousands of President Trump’s supporters are in Washington for rallies Wednesday to falsely assert that the presidential election was stolen from him. The demonstrations turned violent as many in attendance saw them as a last stand for Trump on the same day that Congress votes to certify that President-elect Joe Biden won the election.
Trump — who lost the popular and electoral college vote — continues to dispute the results, without evidence, and has encouraged his supporters to attend the rallies in the nation’s capital. He took the stage about noon to roaring crowds, claiming he had won the election.
At the U.S. Capitol, throngs of people pushed past police who were trying to block them from entering the building as lawmakers inside debated the certification of the presidential election. A mob was able to breach security and successfully enter the building.

Raffensperger escorted out of state Capitol building, says deputy secretary of state
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and senior staffers have been escorted out of the state Capitol building after protestors gathered near the parking deck, according to Deputy Secretary of State Jordan Fuchs.
He told ABC News that the protestors are members of a militia.
Raffensperger and his staff were walked to their cars by Capitol police, Fuchs said.
The incident occurred as pro-Trump demonstrators breached the U.S. Capitol, forcing a lockdown with members of Congress.

Happening at the same time as protesters forcing the U.S. House and Senate into recess in Washington D.C., eyewitness reports at 1:40 p.m. confirm protesters gathered inside the first floor of Topeka’s capitol rotunda. While the D.C. protests turned violent, KSNT’s Capitol Bureau confirmed the local protesters are in a circle and remain peaceful at this time.

Never thought I would see this in my lifetime. And yet, not surprising at all.

This is the day we should all mark as a historic day and not a good one. I honestly cannot think of something that has happened like this during the whole history of the US. It's own citizens storming a major government building in protest. That was the sort of thing we watched on TV in other countries and laugh about it.
I don't want to hear anything about liberals protests, rioting or anything anymore.

These were not just protestors, they were domestic terrorists/insurrectionists hell bent on not only impeding the democratic process, but also instilling fear with destruction of property, carrying fire arms, and placing pipe bombs.
Nothing about these 'protests' were peaceful. Incited by months of false conspiracy therories fed daily to them by POTUS, he sent them from a peaceful rally, to reign down terror on the Capitol. And four of them paid with their lives.
Both the 25th amendment is being seriously discussed, as well as ANOTHER impechment. While a successful impeachment would remove Twitler from office now, it would also no allo him to run for office again. 25th amendment could remove him, allowing him to try for 2024 AND a very likely pardon for all crimes from acting Poodle Pence.
13 days to go, either way.

Facebook has blocked Trump at least until after Biden is president.
Trump also put out a video today basically saying the mob yesterday was not true Patriots and don't represent Americans. He basically conceded the election to Biden. It was scripted and edited. It was not live. Pretty damn sure he was basically told to make it and say these things.
FBI asked people to help identify the people in the mob. I know one of them, the guy with his legs up on a desk has second pic of him holding up a letter he stole. Which is a Federal offense. Apparently he was looking for the bathroom.

Twitter was identifying these mfers all day yesterday and today since some of them are alt-right personalities, famous anti-Semite Nick Fuentes, and some COVID spreader named Baked Alaska (WTF?!). The buffalo soldier guy is well known as well but I don't know him. But the well-funded FBI needs help?!

The other fun is assuming that foreign operatives also got in, so every piece of computer hardware is going to have to be taken out, scrubbed, and likely replaced. Combine that with making sure everyone's computer is set to auto-lock if the keyboard or mouse are idle for more than a few minutes.

Around 4:30, an unmistakable voice began emanating from phones in the crowd. “I know your pain. I know your hurt. But you have to go home now,” the president said in a video posted to Twitter that was later removed for violations of the company’s policy. “We have to have peace,” Trump continued. “We have to have law and order.” His words carried only so far from the phone speakers, though, and all around men were psyching each other up, banging sticks on the ground, and stomping in step to violent chants. “It’s going down tonight, motherfuckers!” one man cried, to loud agreement. “We’re going to get some tonight, let’s fucking go!”
