We can name the battleship we're going to use but naming the whole class is up to the design crew.

How about the Stalwart-class You Wouldn't Like Us When We're Angry?

Or, the Indomitable-class Don't Make Us Come Up There?

:D
Tsu - have you ever helped Iain M. Banks write? Those names could have come right out of a Culture novel.

I still haven't read any of the Culture series, but it did come to mind when I was writing those out.

Bajoran names sometimes sound a bit Dutch, so how about the Flierefluyter, The first Bajoran solar sail essel to leave the Bajoran solar system?

(Those who don't get it, Jadzia Dax sounded Dutch in one of the time travel episodes of DS9)

I set the poll for the standard 5 days. Considering one of the options is winning by 5 votes I dont think it really matters in this case...

Well, I thought we should try a change of pace with a mission that's more peaceful in nature. Like setting up a colony on a planet. The Daystorm's high shuttle capacity would make transferring heavy equipment easier. And there could be all sorts of trouble on site, the discovery of a native sapient species that appears non-warp, but was advanced at one point before destroying itself, the survivors choosing a more peaceful rebuilding process(one with nature and all that). But certain elements want the colonization to continue arguing that they were warp capable once and the benefits of the planet's natural resources out way the needs of the natives, turning into something like Insurrection, but done right.
