KIDS please, is this 'debate' really necessary? You've past the point where it is relevent to the game, so I suggest you check the thread title. If you want to continue debating/sniping at each other over whether or not Jaffa can host symbionts or who makes up what facts and cries when someone calls them out on it, please take it elsewhere.

We've already tried to end the debate several times. Monroe has shown no intent of letting it go. But rather stick around and cause problems like he so often does.

The whole point of this was because Monroe had a problem with someone's character. As such, this is the place for it to be debated.

All someone has to do is read the thread Deep. You were wrong its okay to accept that and move on.

How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

okay, I did a little poking around and here's what I found.

We do not know conclusively if Jaffa can or cannot be taken as hosts. It appears that while they have a larva in their pouch they are immune to having an adult take them. We know this because Teal'c says he cannot be taken by a Goa'uld in "The First Ones" while their on the Goa'uld homeworld. We also know that when the prim'tah matures it alerts the host that it must be removed, however we have never seen a Goa'uld take over the Jaffa. This could be because the Jaffa cannot be taken as hosts, a side effect of the genetic alterations made to them, or because the Goa'uld are to proud and stubborn to take a Jaffa warrior as a host.

With that said, I think we should cut all this and put it in it's own thread in the SG-1/SGA/SGU forum.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I dont think wild Goa'uld who have never met a Jaffa would care what a Jaffa is. Remember humans are even lower than Jaffa on the totem pole. The other race that Goa'uld cant take hosts of are humanoid too so it must be something internal with their brain chemistry.

I have no problem with an unbonded Jaffa being taken as a host. Especially one thats been using Tritonin for a while.

Anyone who would like to do any more intro posts please start working on them. By next week I'd like us to step through the event horizon for the first time

This should be fun to watch. Who's her main "target" gonna be, I wonder?
