Hmm, what rank is the ships doctor usualy at?
I don't recall any of them ever being reffered to anything other than 'doctor'.

And I don't think your post count really matters, it just gives you a general rank on the ship. (me and Teaos are both commanders for example)

crusher was a commander.

Bashir was a Lieutenant

Troi (not medical doctor, but in a way) was Lt. Cmdr, then Cmdr.

EDIT: and IIRC McCoy was a Lt. Cmdr.
