That's why I'm voting for Obama. Hopefully if he wins he'll bring a cooler head to the country. One not obsessed with military action. If McCain gets in, I see more and more years of war.

Umm... OK. True enough, I suppose, if completely tangential.

Off the top of my head:

Violating the Geneva Convention in regards to POW's.
Torturing said POW's.
Illegal deportation of terrorist suspects.
Abducting terrorist suspects in other countries in violation of their laws.

The biggest kick in the ass to the US allies is the redefinition of "ally" to "do whatever we say without question". Otherwise your with the enemy, that's the lasting legacy of this administration: the complete burning of bridges with longstanding supporters.

Uncle George is trying to be like Mel Brooks when he said, "It's good to be the king!"

Agreed with all of the above, except "illegal deportation." It is of course deplorable to do this without true cause (rather than suspicion, unless the people in question are here illegaly) but how can that be regulated by international rather than internal oversight?

When you deport a man not to the country of his residence but back to the country he was visiting, that is a violation of international law and several agreements. I am referring of course to the Maher Arar scandal.

Ah. I thought you were referring to the more general policy of deportation to the individual's nation of origin. Never mind.
