Well it is a dress uniform. The USMC officers dress uniform includes a sword but no one would seriously suggest that they use it in combat.

Unless they're up against lava monsters, that is.

The Mamaluke Sword is an important symbol for the jarheads.

Sorry, I spelled it wrong. It should read "Mameluke" sword, the weapon of the Mamluk warriors. One was presented by Prince Hamet to Lt. O'Bannon after the First Barbary War; the eagle-hilted version was modeled on that one, and worn by USMC officers since.

Or was the head-banging because you prefer "leatherneck" to "jarhead?"

Interesting Designs Graham but I notice in you CIWS Picture that the man standing beside it seems to be over 1 km tall when compared with the scale. I assume the Cannon is to scale while the man isn't or is scale given incorrect?

What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Um, how so? The scale says 1 m, which is 1 metre...
