Holy crap, I won again! This day was going rather badly, but that honestly made me feel quite a bit better.

Thanks, Ian and Graham; glad you liked that one. :D

Ok, the current poll is about the worst Trek opening theme. Anybody other than me notice that the current loser (Enterprise) is the only one with actual lyrics? TNG and TOS (I think? It's been a while...) have spoken intros, but no lyrics. DS9 and VOY have no words of any kind... and Enterprise, the loser, has lyrics. Methinks I see a pattern?

Well for it to be a pattern, there would have to be multiple ones with lyrics, and they would have to consistently perform worse than the ones without lyrics. :? The TOS theme actually did have lyrics, but fortunately no one ever sang them.

BTW, have we had a poll about the best movie score?

Yes... it did. (But I'm not even sure how you would sing it.)
Beyond
The rim of the star-light
My love
Is wand'ring in star-flight
I know
He'll find in star-clustered reaches
Love,
Strange love a star woman teaches.
I know
His journey ends never
His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me.

We sang that as part of a TV Theme medley in the spring concert for chorus last year....
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."
