Any Cthulhu reviews?

Post by Mikey »

I'm interested to hear if anyone has seen or tried "Call of Cthulhu: the Wasted Land." Specifically, I'd like to hear if anyone has any thoughts about the iOS version

I have not heard of this...

I will let you know shortly. About the PC version, anyways.

I actually only just found out about it. Since my PC is slightly older than kentrosaurus bones and I haven't heard of a MacOS version, I figured I'd ask about the iOS version.

I like it. Quite similar in gameplay to XCOM, minus the base building and research. It uses a modified version of the Chaosium RPG system I used for the (unfortunately) short-lived RPG on here. Graphics are decent, and the storyline so far is cool. I just hope it's a long game...

IIRC, it's turn-based, right? Red Wasp downloads, here I come!

Yeah, it's turn based, squad level strategic combat. If you specialize certain characters, you can be pretty effective.

So, beat it; I think it could've been more story-oriented, and about ten times longer, but it's still fun, and I'm already replaying it. :)
