That's our politics, which is a totally different matter save for the unfortunate impact they have on where our military ends up. Doesn't change the fact that our focus on asymmetrical warfare has lead us to make a military in which independent branches can flatten other people's entire armed forces.

Thanks. :) Unfortunately for them, short-arse continental Corporals don't seem to be very good at the subject.

Fortunately for you, you mean. :P

BTW, for someone who enjoys your so-called "taking the piss" so much, you seem to be having a hard time recognizing it when it happens.

When confronted with piss-taking, the best solution is to respond in kind.

I've never understood how "taking the piss" makes any sense. First time I heard it was when I was sleeping with the 20 year old Philipino girl who lived in London. Then, imagine my surprise when she disappeared for 15 minutes from work and nobody could find her. When I asked where she'd been she replied

"I just had to wrap my lips around a fag."

I stood openmouthed until she realized that I was clueless when confronted with "over the pond" slang. She quickly explained she went for a smoke.

Ummm... what about him? Good character and all, but I'm not sure I understand the reference here.

In which case it just might have been a good idea to say so originally.

Um...excuse me? Has common sense been thrown to the wayside completely in this forum, or do you live in a bubble?
