This battle seems to be a race to get the shields down.
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

From what I've seen its just a straight up slug match. The Romulan ship is faring considerably better than I expected in that field.

Well, at the rate things are going, he's gonna lose 3 shields at once, leaving him with fewer defensive options.

Does not change the fact that the normally questionable Romulan shields have managed to hold up fairly well. So far

Part of the thing too is that when I calculated stats for the MVAM the total shield strength was divided up between 18 sections instead of 6 so that makes the Prometheus' shields very weak in comparison.

The attacks are not being properly coordinated for the Prometheus I don't think. Strikes me (and I did not think of this until now) that one would be better spreading out on the z-axis so you can still concentrate fire on one set of shields.
