Well, didn't Admiral Nychev (spelling) wear a gold uniform? You know, the one who told Picard he SHOULD have wiped out the Borg when he had the chance. I'd imagine that you would still have Captains and even Admirals in they're own tracks. MUST a Captain command a starship?

I thought she was always in red.

She had some gold piping on the seams of her uni, but I only recall seeing her in red.

I COULD be wrong about her, but damnit, I DO remember seeing another admiral in gold

That's not exactly correct. Eisenhower commanded the US army tank corps training center at Camp Colt during WWI after he was commissioned in 1915. During the interwar years he held several staff positions under such generals as Pershing, Conner, and MacArthur; during which time he became a military strategist and went from the rank major to brigadier general. He commanded the War Plans Division of the Army General Staff and commanded the invasions of North Africa, Sicily, and Italy before the Normandy invasion.Cpl Kendall wrote:Rochey wrote:Aye, that's possible. No, you can be a Flag officer without ever commanding a unit in the field.
Edit: General Eisenhower for example was a logistics officer who never held a field command yet commanded the entire invasion of Western Europe.
