Really? You're not familiar with fantasy football - hold mock drafts, score for that weekend's performances by the players you have, etc?

So it doesn't involve Orcs and Hobbits having a quick five-a-side tournament during Middle Earth - War armistice?

No, but I think that would be a pretty short-lived game.

No, but there's a somewhat similar game called Blood Bowl where you can pit a team of Hobbits against a Team of Orcs. :P

Oh God, I was just reminded of the SILLIEST role playing session I've EVER been involved it. We were playing Star Wars TRP, shortly after the first edition was released. Our ship was captured by a Star Destroyer by the rim and a "Q" like being froze time. The senerio was similar to Day of the Dove, where the PCs were evenly matched by an equel number of baddies. The "Q" like being let one of the PCs choose the method of contest, and my friend said football! Ignoring all logic and reason, our SW characters played and won a game of football against imperial forces, and captured ourselves a Star Destroyer after the "Q" like being made it's entire crew vanish after our victory.

How stupid was that????

Oh? During one session of AD&D 1st edition, we found friggin' laser pistols. Another time, we found the freaking holy grail, on a world that never heard of Christ, and in yet another, we had to battle the Ghost Knights of Camalot. My Paladin, Jaren Sureblade had to duel one on one with Sir Lancealot. It would get interesting, that's for sure. Completely out there, but interesting

The most out there quirk of all was the old Star Trek role playing game (TSR I think). I played the Captain of the Excelsior (before Sulu got it), a Vulcan, Captain Norrad. We had been drinking and awake for so long we were punchy. The game master decided to shake things up, and none other than Geraldo Rivera materilized on our transporter platform, along with a furry alien named Gwildor, who carried a staff that could replicate twinkies.

Oh, GOD.................that was QUIRKY.
