Re: Warning to Victory is Life

I will respond to this thread with a couple of gems from Tyyr:

"Not your forum so nobody gives a s**t."

"And you are a f***ing idiot so guess the esteem I hold your opinion in."

I didn't see him get banned for flaming...Just saying...

That home, BTW, is in a town in NJ very close to where Yogi Berra lives. If you want to get there, just follow the directions Yogi once gave to Joe Garagiola; Garagiola was lost en route to visiting Yogi, and on the phone Yogi told him, "I know exactly where you are. Don't go the other way, co...

Re: A Calm And Civil Discussion About Perceptions Of Humour

Just my two cents, Victory: your battered housewife joke was in really poor taste in that context. And not funny. Really?!?! I've got a million of 'em! You don't want to hear? They are great fun at parties... link removed - Mikey Clearly joking by the way....I think it's a horrible blight on societ...

Thats because at his age he has a hard time remembering :poke: Victory....the whole reason behind the Necroing thing is the fact that most of us have completely forgotten what the hell was being talked about. We have to go back, reread and reaquaint ourselves with the discussion. Its encouraged to ...

Re: Your Fave DS9 Quotes

Sometimes, Garak's arguments hammer you down. The worst is when he is right. "That's why you came to me, isn't it captain? Because you knew I could do those things that you weren't capable of doing. Well, it worked. And you'll get what you wanted: a war between the Romulans and the Dominion. A...

Re: History of Starfleet

Does anyone else remember a couple of decades ago when "businessmen" were disposing of the "competition" at hot dog factories? I always have to wonder when I got a dog from a cornor vendor. They should have just taken them to Satriale's...Mmmm, I wonder if Agent Harris ended up ...

Re: SFdebris : Generations

One would like to think that two of SF greatest captains would make better use of their available resources if indeed they could have conjured items in the nexus and brought them along. I would have had Kirks girlf ride across the cliff face to distract Soran, then chopped his head off with Kirks a...

Re: Appartently still looking for a bad guy

I think that this is a great chance to reinvent the Borg, with all of the malevolent mysterious terror that they brought in TNG, but with a grander scale, akin to First Contact, sans the Queen and that Voyager foolishness. THAT, IMHO, would be a HUGE box office draw. and would be a story I would wan...

One could suggest that they simply 'disposed' of the horses?

I thought that too, akin to the holodeck, but now that I think about it, is there really anything to suggest that in the movie directly?

Couldn't Kirk and Picard have gone back with some WEAPONS maybe? Wouldn't the Nexus have been able to accomodate that in some way?

Re: SFdebris : Generations

Wasn't Kirk the only "real" person Picard ran into in there? In any event, Kost is right. The whole encounter reeks of a contrivance to provide some "missing link" between TOS and TNG that the producers felt should be there... but which the fans didn't need. I was fine with Kirk...
