Re: Need some help/advice with google accountz
Can't help you with remembering the password, sorry. You have to remember something about Google. You're their product, not their customer. They sell ad space to advertisers, you're the captive audience they sell too. If you're anonymous they can't monetize you and sell you to advertisers. That's wh...

Trailers lie.
I wouldn't list Super 8 in my directing credits. I hated that movie.
JJ himself has admitted he went way overboard with the lens flares in 2009 Trek.

Re: Gravity
Even in Kerbal Space Program the distances depicted would be ridiculously tiny. I enjoyed it, as disaster porn. That's what it is. It's straight up disaster porn in space. That and Sandra Bullock in her skivvies in two points and she's still a very good looking woman. I like Clooney, not even Batman...

Re: Random hypothetical
In terms of resources, I don't see why you couldn't just go out and take what's lying around. For example the UK would struggle to feed itself... but it wouldn't be hard to go over to France and take over a bunch of their farmland. We've got ships, we've got farm equipment, and we've got the capaci...

Re: Random hypothetical
We have raw materials, but that's not the important part. Well lets look at what you're after, short term could we support out current way of life? No. Short term could we keep everyone alive? No. Long term could we rebuild? Yes. Here's the problem, we don't grow our food where we live. Food is grow...

Re: Random hypothetical
80 million rather that 7 billion? The way I see it, you'd be eating each other with in a year. My country is self sufficient in food but not modern tech. It's the 350 million people most like me, who are where I live, and whom my family are part of the population. So yeah, I pick my country, sorry ...

Re: Random hypothetical
It's not a fun choice to be sure but in the end I'm not going to be responsible for ending seven billion sapient lives.

Yeah, and you know, Fox. They love to approve Sci-Fi shows to just cancel them immediately. It's like Rupert Murdoch can't get a stiffy if he hasn't canceled a SciFi show lately.Nutso wrote:I liked this show a lot. But it got hard to follow due to re-scheduling by Fox to accommodate their sports programming.

Yeah, that's the one. One a scale of 1 to 10 for stupid plans that one was 19i.Captain Seafort wrote:No, Unimatrix Zero, regarding the "let's get assimilated" plan. Thanks for the reminder that it was Borg-related - that was enough to jog my memory.

Re: Kerbal Space Program
I've chronicled some of my attempts to science it up in KSP.
Also, thanks to Scott Manley's aerodynamics tutorials after playing this game for more than 500 hours I finally managed to get a spaceplane into orbit.

One of the Borg ones I think. Endgame?Captain Seafort wrote:Can you remember which episode it was when he decided Psycho Janeway's solution was more reasonable than the one actually chosen?
