Re: Florida and Michigan

Obama has the nomination now, Hillary's said she'd be open to a VP slot if it would help the party in november. It was on Yahoo! earlier. I guess we'll see what happens...I'm so mad I can't vote this election!

Re: The Silliest Battle Ever!

More or less . Various instrument playing jokes, one of our favorites: a drummer complained his lips were tingly after playing a (female) instrumentalists trumpet, and later that same trumpeter got white yogurt on her dark pants...I'll leave that for you to imagine how it went.

Virtually anything on history channel w/ the exception of ice road truckers and that one about loggers, Myth Busters, Dirty Jobs, Deadliest Catch, M*A*S*H, Cash Cab, most discovery channel shows, Battle 360, Dogfights, and various specials on space, the universe etc.

Re: The Youtube video thread!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=mkD69kIlado&feature=related --this is the first part of a musical about the story Faust that a group of my friends made for German Class this year. (I am not part of the group), links to Pts. 2 & 3 are on the site. Its quite good, all the songs/music are original ...

It's an unfamiliar or formal form of "hello" in Russian.
Ah, thank you. I take German, not Russian. (I intend to try it at some point though).

Re: RIP, Joseph Pevney

The closet I've ever gotten was holding a cigarette in my hand and fake smoking (very fake, it was quite obvious...it wasn't even lit). I had to do it for a school project, a film, in which my character smoked, and we couldn't get a pipe. I'll tell you, whatever desire I ever had to try lit cigarett...

Pshaw. In my experience, teenagers are the most likely to resort to low-brow humor and discussions. I know I did. And do. I expect anyone involved to show some restraint, at least. I know I've been far from unbridled so far... Hmm... Please, this is not much worse than my High School or Marching Ba...

Re: POLL: Which Captain would you want to come to your rescue?

I'm going to say Sisko. He's dealt with madmen before, and I trust him to come up with a way to bust me out. Or, maybe talk to the Klingon...after all, he made a pretty good Klingon in that one DS9 episode.
